Advice for signs:

Here is some suggested language for signs to put on your trucks and cars or even larger versions for your yard or where these politicians who support the California Air Resources Board place their campain signs around their districts. It is the most powerful way to fight back.

It is most important that you use the names of your local state assembly person and state senator. You can look them up by using our locator and by putting in your zip code. Without their names on your signs to expose and embarrass them, they will just ignore your protest as they always do. It is best to put the signs on the back of trucks and on the rear bumpers of cars where hundreds can see and read them as you go down the road in you own areas. The folks will see and remember the names of the politicians who lied to them.

When you make a sign be sure that you use the thumbs down image next to the persons name. Otherwise, Politicians may actually benefit by their names on your signs. People may not see the reason/fine print, but may remember the name and thereby end up supporting and voting for the name. (The old adage, doesn't matter what they say about you, as long as they spell your name correctly).

As an example, if you were in the 94565 zip code these signs would work for you.  Of course, if these are not your representatives you would need to change the name on the sign.  These examples were created for print out on a standard 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheet of paper. Let us know if you need help with a sign.

Use the new "Sign Kit" to make your signs. You can download the signs in formats for Microsoft Word, Open Office, Rich Text, Photo Shop, and Gimp. The graphic images are also available for download as well as some fonts to use for your signs. Once you have downloaded a sign, change the name of the Senator or Assemblymember to that of your representative. The sign can be printed on standard 8.5 x 11 paper in the landscape mode. You can also change the wording on your sign to suit your needs. Open Office and GIMP are both free programs. GIMP is available for Windows or the MAC at the GIMP website. Gimp is also available for Linux, but if you are a Linux user you already know that.  Open Office is available  in many languages and and operating systems at the Open Office website.
